The Boma (15 metres in diameter) is set underneath Eucalyptus trees. Enclosed by a 1.8 metre high reed wall, it creates an absolute outdoor feel. Additional to the usual braai area, at the centre is a huge “iziko” or fireplace, making it ideal for either cooking your “potjie”, creative conversations or story telling. Also available is a hand built oven suitable for baking of pizzas and breads.
Please bring your own wood and braai grids.
The facility can seat a maximum of 100 people on the available 6-seater wooden benches. To protect the wood we have covered the tops with a protective vinyl plastic. (This should not be removed at any time.)
Although the Boma is open aired, the counter area is covered and can be used for catering. A wash basin, running water and ablution facilities are available.
The lime pathway brings the Boma within walking distance from The Barn as well as our cottages. The toilets are close to the facility and have adequate lighting for evening functions.
